The Struggle

August 7, 2008

Well, it was quite a struggle to get her out of bed but we made it. Through a lot of effort on Danni's part she made it with one nurse on one side and one on the other and me covering the back.

I was really proud at how she just kept after it, baby step by baby step she moved to the chair and sat down to her breakfast, she was hungry.

They will be moving her to a room on the fifth floor today or as soon as they can. She's still having pain in her back but that seems to be muscular at this point. She just keeps plodding along.

She wanted me to take a picture of her so that her doctor could see that she got up and made it to the chair. She cracked us up. Per usual.

Thank you for your continued prayers and love they are much appreciated by me personally.

Good morning Danni,
I just checked the blog again and was smiling when I read about your determination to get off that bed and in that chair so you could eat breakfast. I think you got that tenacious nature from good old grandpa John and I'm sure he's among that great cloud of witnesses cheering you on and smilling and applauding in heaven!
God bless you a whole bunch, you are an inspiration to us all!
Grandma Cheryl
P.S. Did mom take your picture for the Dr.?

Last night at youth group I prayed for God to give you strength, and that He did! Strength to get out of bed to feed your hungry belly and strength to make everyone smile yet again. You truly are amazing. Much Love to All of You

Hello Danni and "MOM"
You do not know me for we have never met.A very dear friend of mine told me of a hog roast and poker run he had atended this weekend in your honor. We spoke last night and he forwarded me your website, which I spent the next 6 hours reading last night. You are quite a lady Danni, your courage, strength and determination are true testiments of your faith. You know, God says he will never give us more then we can bear, and when times get tough and we need help, he is always there to pick us up and carry us. God sure has found a strong deciple to deliver his message. Your courage and faith is touching so many lives of people you have never met (like me :). I live Montana, 1400 miles away, yet I can't stop thinking about you. I am embarassed over the little things that upset me, when your daily challenges are so much more. You, your mom, your family and freinds are truly an inspiration.
I have shared your inspiring story of strength, courage, and faith with friends across the country. Your prayer group is GROWING. You have touched the life of a stranger in Montana. God works in mysterious ways.
Keep that faith and courage going Danni, you are truly and inspiration.
I will support you daily with my prayers
Greg
