April 17, 2008, The Next Thing

Danni told me today that the doctor said that possible tomorrow depending on how much drainage she had today, they would take the drain out.

I don't know what to think about this because she still has the place on the side of her head that has fluid in it and I can's see how this will ever stop as the body just keeps producing spinal fluid.

I know, with God all things are possible, it will have to be him. We'll just keep trusting that we're on the right path. Doctors practice medicine but Jesus is the Healer.

I'll keep you up to date. I'll be working the next few days. There is a lot going on constantly in our crazy, predestined lives.

HEAVENLY FATHER,

YOU receive glory and honor and praise in the way YOU are carrying Danni and her family through this trial. Only YOU could give them a peace that goes way beyond human understanding. YOU alone give them strength to face each new day.

LORD, will YOU be with Danni as she continues to be in a waiting place. And be with Christi as she spends the next few days at work; let her hours there be a reprieve of some normalcy.

YOU are so worthy of our devotion, of our praise and worship, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! Bless this family for always pointing us to YOU. amen.

Lord Jesus I just want to claim the healing from her head to her feet that I saw when we would pray for her. I know you are the healer and you love us. I just ask that this healing would come soon for Danni and that she could move on to the next phase in her life. We love you Lord and are believing for this healing, Amen. We love you Lord Jesus.

Christi, you tell Danni to hang in there. You too. You are still in a lot of people prayers. God is watching out for your little girl. Trust in that. He will always be there. They had to put a shunt in my father in law for his drainage cause of swelling in his head and it would not go away. The shunt is still there 2 1/2 years later and no problems with it. So if that is the next avenue for the doctors I understand. I pray that you have a quiet weekend with no additional worries.
God Bless,
Lori Bieber

I was reading your blog then jumped to a daily devotional website. The verse of the day there was Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." I can't imagine not being discouraged with the draining and lack of progress. But in that verse God has promised to be with you wherever this takes you and as I'm sure you know, no one can possibly fathom where it will take Danni. I am praying for Danni and Christy and the whole family. May your strength be renewed, may God encourage you and uplift you and help you be strong and courageous.
