I am thinking about your family as you are going through this hard time. I was a grade ahead of Dannin in school, and also Jessi's cadet teacher in 6th grade. Although I have never experienced a death close to me, I know it would be tough. I will keep the family in my prayers!

I would read this blog every day just to see how danni was doing, also I loved the way you used scripture for everything that was happening in your life at that time, its like you brought danni to us like she was one of are own children (i dont have any) I dont think i have ever seen such a beautiful video I cried through that whole thing, she is such a beautiful young lady and you can just tell by her smile she could be a little prankster. I think both of your daughters look like you. Whoever did the video did a wonderfull job.Just take one day at a time now because you will have time on your hands because you will not be taking care of danni, I wouldnt be in a hurry to get rid of her stuff yet. I think that takes time. AS always you and your family are in my prayers I hope her brothers and sisters are doing well.

Thank you for sharing your daughter, her story, your faith and a great challenge. We all need to have the strength to look to God and praise Him even in the more difficult times in our lives which you showed by great example.
I was blessed with the priviledge of taking Danni to the hospital several times. She is definately a patient that tugged my heart strings and I had to know how she was doing. Thanks for keeping me updated on her progress. She taught me a lot even though she probably wasn't aware of it.
Thanks for the video. She truly was a beautiful young lady in person and her spirit. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers.

Well done, Lee and JJ! That was such a wonderful tribute to her life. Danni was beautiful on the inside and out. Her life gives perspective on how we should approach each day we have here on Earth. Thanks for sharing the video!

What a wonderful video! Thank you for sharing it with the rest of us that didn't get to go to the funeral. But Christy please know that we were there with you in thought and prayer and will continue to be. Take day at a time and all will be fine. Its hard to do but you will and things will get easier. I promise. God will take your hand and guide you.

My mom heart hurts when I think about you. How amazing that our God is so rockin' that this stuff can't touch our peace. It circles in my head - despair, hope, despair, hope... and keeps landing on hope. I know Jesus is carrying you through this. And you've said it many times, too. My prayer is that your mom heart lands on hope and peace. Way more than the other. Peace, baby.

Wow! Very well done!!
I stand and listen off and on all day to people talk about jobs and economy and all the worry in the world....it doesn't matter at all if we have our health and live life well. Didn't Danny do a wonderful job OF THAT and make our whole community proud! I hope as an adult that I can do 1/2 as good as she has done in this life!
With much love,

A dear friend of mine lost a child and was not able to part with her things for a year. Don't be in a hurry to start the new life. Grief is incredibly important in this process. I am amazed that you can even get out of bed. It is not important that you are strong or tough...it is important that you just love the little girl that you once knew. Give in to it.

Wow..that was a beautiful video! The songs and pictures just touched my heart and spoke so much to me. I am praying for you all. For peace that passes all understanding. That somehow it will be well with your soul. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this journey through this blog. May God be your strong tower.

Christy, what an amazing journey! The video was incredible. Even though I've never met Danni, my heart swelled with emotion as tears poured down my cheeks. Like everyone else is telling you, take one day at a time. I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

It really is a stange thing when a person that you have never met takes over your thoughts and makes you grow as a person and as a christian as your daughter did. For the past months I have read this blog every day, I have cried for her, I have laughed with her, I have spent much time praying for her. Right now I am just thankful for her. I never knew her, but I loved her. I have to thank God for that. I have three duaghters of my own that will have a better mom because of Danni. My prayers continue for your family and her dad's family. Thank-you for the snapshots of her life. I rejoice in the memories that you all have of her, she has inspired people all around the county and that is special.

Thank you for sharing your lives with so many. I have followed Danni's story through this blog for some time now and have been touched by Jesus through your words. I have posted a link to Danni's story on my blog page so that others may be blessed through your words and strength as well. I have also read some of the comments left by others and want to encourage you to not dismiss the thought of writing a book or devotional with all of the thoughts and scriptures you have captured here.
Praying for you as you rejoice and mourn at the same time.

I found an article about Danni in the Shipshewana Hometown Treasue magazine. I was so touched by what happened to her that I wanted to know the story. Although I did not know her,I tried to put myself in her and her mother's shoes, I also being a mother of 5 grown children. The Lord works in so many ways to reach other people. And at the same time he is always there for us every step of the way. Even sometimes whenever he seems so far away, he is actually carrying us, through thick and thin. Praise God for who he is. A couple of things come to mind, one is in the book of Isaiah the 57th chapter, it says," The righteous perish and no man lay it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come." Of course when it says in scripture (men ) it also means women. God in his Love and Mercy saw ahead into the life of Danni and he took her to spare her from the evil to come. We are in the last days and since God is a Sovereign God and nothing can happen to his children out side of his will for us, he calls the shots. And whether anyone wants to believe it or not, even when everything seems so out of control, he is totally in control of it all, for we are his creation and he has a purpose for eveyone, no matter who they are. beyond this life is something so marvelous and wonderful that we can't even imagine in all our wildest imaginings, just how absolutly wonderful it is going to be whenever we put our faith in God. I saw the most wonderful 2 DVD's called called,"How Great Is Our God", and "Indescribable" by Louie Giglio and these 2 DVD's opened my eyes on a much deeper and broader scale of how vast and wonderfull is our God. For no matter what goes on in our lives, he knew it from the foundation of the world. Nothing takes him by surprise. I am not sure why all of these things came to my mind as I read the story about Danni's life and death, but perhaps someone, maybe even myself needed to hear it. Praise the Lord for his perfect will in our lives, because even when something seems bad, it actually will turn out for the good in the end of ot all, for our God is truely in control! Be Blest all who read this blog. And Praise God the giver of life, for whenever we believe in him we never have to die in spirit.
