Diagnosis ...Days

November 6, 2008

We've been told by the doc that Danni may be down to days. It felt so surreal as he told me what we could expect to transpire. I remember thinking to myself ,yea, but God is in control. Often in scripture deliverance didn't come until the very last minute.

I think of Isaac and Abraham in Genesis chapter 22 because God gave me these scriptures last night after I had talked with the doc. Isaac wasn't delivered from the hand of his father Abraham until seconds before his impending death, but God provided a ram for the sacrifice.

Also, in our family devotions time last night Isaiah 60:1-3 was Jessi's scripture that she opened to and then we also read Isaiah 58:8-9. Atlee's scripture that he picked out was Isaiah 28.These were quite an encouragement. Matt's scripture was Luke 13: 22-30 about the narrow door that we must all go through to enter the kingdom.

All of these spoke of God's plans for the future, his sovereignty, power ,judgements and miraculous provision. So we set our face like flint (Isaiah 50:7)and stay the course no matter what the circumstances and we wait for God's sovereign hand of power, judgement and miraculous provision.

I often come to Danni's web site to see how she's doing and to read your words of encouragement. Your family has been in my prayers. Your strength (and Danni's) and your faith are such an encouragement for me...I am battling breast cancer and even though the prognosis is good and the treatments are over, I find myself sulking in self-pity. Then I read your words and my faith is renewed and my strength returns. I will continue to pray for your family...Kathy Glick (I'm Heather's mom...a classmate of Danni's and I was the senior sponsor when they graduated.)

"Don't Give Up" God can read each falling tear. He sees the heart that's needing cheer. He knows the path that's hard and drear. Don't give up for He is near. This was a motto my mother had in her home which was special to me. I want to pass this hope on to you, Danni, and your family. FL.

I did not understand why the book of Job was a class assignment when I was in Hi School. As I experience and am aware of others who experience, illness, pain and suffering I get glimpses of why Job is in the scriptures.

My thought travel with you all.

20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief;[d] for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”[e]

matt 17:20-21

i have to admit i check this daily(as a lot of others do). we should all be n prayer n fasting for danni i ask you to join me in this. my intent is not to focus on the little faith,(as i believe there is plenty of faith in this group of believers) but raither to focus on the prayer and fasting. that we might move this mountain !!!!! this is really what i feel the Lord empressing on me. thanks and God Bless

I am in awe over your faith for Danni. I know that our Lord heals, and yes, sometimes He moves at the last possible moment.
As you traverse the next few days, I will keep you and Danni in my prayers. I understand watching someone you love be hurting and the helpless feeling you have. Be Brave and full of faith. I am claiming Danni's healing along with you.

I know too well how it is to sit at a bed side and take the journey of faith and hope. Hope always awaits you. My prayer for this precious child of God's is to "soar" high above all of us and live the promised life of eternity. Please know that I do believe in miracles. I also believe, "Nothing is ever wholly lost. That which is excellent remians forever a part of this universe and therefore continues to live through us". Danni will never be far from her family and loved ones. Give her permission to take flight. She won't fly away.....she has her Fathers work to do.

"I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt.............only more love."

This was written by another mother who also believed in miracles and never gave up. She was Mother Teresa

God does not leave anything to chance. He always has the absolute best plan for each of us. Often His plan is not the one we would choose ourselves. But, we can trust Him that his motive is always His LOVE for us. (Romans 8:37-39)

2 Samuel 12
16 David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and went into his house and spent the nights lying on the ground. 17 The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them...
21 His servants asked him, "Why are you acting this way?
22 He answered, "While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, 'Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.'
Don't let anyone try to pull you off your knees! Who knows?! As long as there is hope, we will keep crying out to El Shaddai (God Almighty) for His healing touch on Danni!!!

We love you guys and are constantly praying for you!
Matt & Danielle
